The operational and technical purpose of the Redux Era:
1. Establish a highly scalable and adaptive operational framework by leveraging the modular “building blocks” developed during the previous "Next" phase.
2. Enable rapid pivots in response to market and industry trends through a modernized, integrated tech stack while minimizing technical and design debt.
Visually, I applied a minimalist design philosophy to create a light user interface to help users get into a state of uninterrupted creative "flow".
The workspace is adaptive and workflow-aware, dynamically hiding unnecessary UI elements and distractions.

A combination of function and form to help creators get into the state of "flow".
A workflow-aware workspace that dynamically hides unnecessary UI elements to reduce distraction, paired with a highly customizable drag-and-drop environment (below)

The UI is highly customizable. It can be user-tuned or AI-curated based on individual workflows.
Every application workspace within Distinct AI's ecosystem can be customized and saved.

Redux products are designed to communicate seamlessly across the Distinct AI ecosystem. For instance, a user can discover, download, and install an AI model from the Model Hub and immediately launch it within any Distinct AI application to begin a project.

The expanded "Redux" design system allows high degree of theming, styling, and spacing customizability. This framework can be tuned to the needs of our applications, plugins, widgets, and partners.
Below are sample explorations of a floating prompt input field. As users have become accustomed to common chatbot interfaces, I explored how this concept could be adapted for our products.

Case Study
Human & AI Co-Creation of "Redux" Concepts
The "Redux" concepts were developed through an iterative process that uses AI to generate variations based on human-defined concepts. I've tried to capture the steps:
-
Step 1: Use web search for inspiration. I find AI too narrow without heavy prompt tuning.
-
Step 2: Manually create many concepts, then narrow to 3 directions.*
-
Step 3: Use AI to generate variations to expand and challenge ideas.*
-
Step 4: Refine my concepts using ideas from AI-generated variations.
-
Step 5: Get feedback and iterate through steps 1–4.
*The process reminds me of a divergent and convergent ideation model. (see Interaction-design.org reference below).
